Strengthening the Nautic South Africa team – for now, and for the future

The Nautic South Africa (NSA) team continues to go – and grow – from strength to strength, especially in terms of technical expertise!
Recent additions to our team include:

Mr Simone Schuitermaker who has taken up the position as Senior Engineering Superintendent. Mr Schuitemaker, who previously held the position of Lead Surveyor at Bureau Veritas for 16 years, makes up the final member of our three-person senior team.

Mr Syd Gibbs, a former SAMSA surveyor who until recently served as Chief Engineer on various classes of offshore specialist vessels, joins the team as Senior Technical Superintendent while Captain Graeme Barrett continues to have full oversight of fleet management operations and health and safety in his capacity as DPA and Senior Marine Superintendent.

The foundation of NSA’s success is its wealth of offshore and management experience, and these highly skilled individuals will help to strengthen that foundation even more as they have elected to implement a junior vessel superintendence training regime that will allow them to transfer their skills and knowledge to young aspiring marine professionals in NSA’s Fleet Management department.
